Stefan Bäurle is a self-taught photographer living in San Jose, California. His primary interests lie in landscape, seascape and architectural photography. He has a strong sense of order (some would say it can be excessive at times) and likes to be imaginative yet keeping things simple. Almost all of his work is converted to monochrome because it facilitates focusing on light, shapes, structures, patterns, and contrasts. For this reason he frequently uses long exposure techniques that allow him to find the essence of a subject.
When not making photos he enjoys spending time with his family or hiking in nearby hills or mountains.
